2 Clean Kids = Mom of the Year

Yep, that's right. I got them both in the tub. At the same time. On the same NIGHT, even. I feel like a hero. (now if I can get Sydney to put her craft down and go to bed so *I* can get a shower, maybe we'll ALL be clean)

Kelli had fun learning the words to "baa baa black sheep"... I wish I had gotten her verson on video. That was cute.

Sydney wore her daddy jammies tonight and wanted to take a picture and send it to him. This is Sydney making a "heart" around the words "daddy" with her arms. Hello!!!

Yeah I looked, there weren't any "I love Mommy" jammies, or "My Mom Rocks" jammies or "My Mom is AMAZING & PERFECT" jammies.

This is how Kelli answers the phone.
Not to her ear. On top of her head.
and says "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"

And the award for cutest 15mo goes to...

My crazy nugget.
Who still likes to unpack everything in sight (purses, bags, boxes, drawers, baskets etc). Her 15mo well visit went well and as it turns out, she is GROWING. Her doctor didn't believe the chart so they measured her 3 times. Sure enough 3 inches in 3 months! Go Kelli!! According to her last chart, she was on track to be around 4'11 (aww)... but now... it looks like my tiny will actually be around 5'2 (ish), if she keeps it up. She actually fits into 12mo sizes now, and weighs 22lbs on the nose. So she has officially moved up to the "50th percentile".

We got out the twister game the other night while Jenny & Doug came to visit, and Kelli thought it was neat because it made noise when you walked on it. So she just danced around on it and thought it was the coolest thing.

So then Sydney taught her how to TWIRL!!! When Kelli got the twirling thing down (meaning, could do a few full circles without falling)... she would not stop!

It's pretty much all she did for the rest of the night!

Kelli's First Day @ Primrose

Since I am in school 3 days a week, I decided to put Kelli in Primrose on those days, so that my mom is not bogged down too much with childcare. It will be so good for her as well, since she has never had much socialization with other tots. She is a bit of a mama's girl, and needs this time away to become a little more independent and make friends etc. Her first day went much better than we all expected. Her teachers all said she was sad at first... off course. But throughout the day she was friendly, curious and for the most part, happy and talkative. When I went to pick her up after school, she saw me and ran like I've never seen her run before and I swooped her up... and I think for the first time this child gave ME a real hug and said "awww". It was adorable. Affection isn't Kelli's "thing", but once in a while she slips. This picture was taken on our way home (stop light obviously)... she was ALL smiles, just so excited to see me.
