A year ago today, we got Sydney her first, very own pet. Whom she initially named "Turtle". Within a couple of months, it turned into "Goldie". Nowadays, it goes by "Dorothy"... as in... we've been watching more Sesame Street this month. We really dont know if this fish is a boy or girl.
I guess the real significance to all of this is; I cant believe we kept a fish alive for a year! A Beta, even. I'd like to thank my mom for helping clean the bowl at times I couldnt bare to touch that dirty water, and Andy for buying the self-cleaning tank for Christmas.
