Baking (kind of) & Halloween Preview

We have SO many events coming up in just the next 3 days, so I'm getting a head-start on the treat-making. Today, we made rolo-pretzels. So easy.

Just put a bunch of twisty pretzels out on a baking sheet, set a rolo on top of each, put in oven at 250 for about 7 minutes, then remove and squish (gently) another pretzel on top, making a cookie/sandwhich type of deal. Delish- salt + sugar in one treat.

Sydney decided to give us all a preview. She LOVES being in character for Little Bo Peep!

Ellicott City, Sydney Passes Out, Random Cuteness

On our last day, I thought "what do I want to see the most before I leave?" and came up with Ellicott City. I never went there too often when we lived in MD, but I really loved that town. Plus, it's the sight of me and Andy's 2nd date, which is SO memorable. Sitting in that old, old restaurant with brick walls, watching the snow gently fall outside while we ate next to the fire place. It was so peaceful.

We didn't get out because alot of the shops said "CLOSED" and I didnt want to risk waking Kelli up and dragging the stroller around for nothing. So I didn't get too many good pictures. President Lincoln's assassin (John Wilkes Boothe) was an actor before he quit his day job, and acted in the drama house in Ellicott City in his prime.

Then we stopped at Uno's ONCE MORE because it was the best gluten free pizza I have EVER had. So delicious.

Kelli was Miss Chatterbox the entire time.

Then we went to see Mona one last time (didn't get pictures there) and Sydney fell asleep on the way home. (hotel = home). She fell asleep holding her "goodie bags" from Mona.

I tried to wake her up when we got to Andy's office, but she just flapped her arm down and began snoring LOL.

I called her name a few times and she just opened her eyes and then closed them again.

Yay! We're home! And on our agenda is transitioning Kelli into her crib. She made it almost 4 hours the first night, and I could have put her back. Its harder on ME I think. But look at this cuteness!

I propped her up on a pillow because she is super congested.

I decided to document this. This is the door to Sydney's playroom. As you can see, she has posted warning signs on there. The bottom is a picture of Roman (a "meanie boy" in her class). Obviously stating that this room is for Gramma & Sydney only... No Romans allowed. Then above it is a do-over sign, where she drew pictures of Roman AND Maddox... who is Roman's friend and also another "meanie boy". Look how she tried to spell Maddox's name!! LOL "Madiduik"... seems like she was trying to sound it out.

On school days, I will walk by her room and be sad about the silence in our house. I really miss her while she's at school. Then she comes home and I remember why I should enjoy the silence.

Okay! One more time!! AWWWWWWWWW!

OC Day 2

View from our hotel balcony!!! (very very windy!)

we pulled out the trundle bed for Sydney but she's been spoiled this trip with sleeping/snuggling with Daddy each night and pulled the 'ol "I can't fall asleep without nuggles from Daddy" trick. It worked.

The next day Andy was on a MISSION to find Pollack Johnny's Hotdogs, and he did. They moved locations on the boardwalk. Sydney tried her, and devoured the entire thing within minutes.

I got one without a bun... and this sauce was good!

Picture of a happy man.

Sydney is NO GOOD at this game. However, she will play all day. only .25 so we let her have it!

Kelli hogging all the Fischer's Popcorn!

Sydney NOT listening to Daddy's help. Her ball kept flying two rows over.

Family golfing game. Aren't we cute??? We totally match. It's awesome. Don't be jealous.

Theyre so cute.

Rawr!!!

My ball got stuck under the dinosaur.

Kelli had a good nap the entire game.

Before we head out of town, Andy had to go back to the strong arm game in the arcade and try and beat it. He played twice and got first place. That's right, he did!

So tough. His Dad used to play this game 25 years ago and it's still there.

Ocean City Hon!

We went for the lemonade (not the oreos!). Best lemonade on the boardwalk!
