Our San Francisco Day Trip

Again, poor Aaron. Such a patient man.

We get to the coast and there is the fog rolling over the hills like a giant ghost.

The Beach Chalet restaurant where we all met up and ate together almost 4 years ago.

Nikki & her two Marli & Jax

Stephens clan. There is always a bit of chaos & whining while getting everyone seated which makes for the anticipation of hanging out so much more awesome! No stress at all. Just a slow, relxed, hot meal with uninterrupted adult conversation.

Syd was so stoked to see Marli! The cool, older girl whoo dresses neat & hangs out with her.

She had to get my hat so she could wear a hat like Marli.

We all walked across the street to the beach after breakfast to take our picture (just like we did almost 4 years earlier) when the babes were only 8-9mo! Can't believe it's been that long!

It wasn't that chilly but we were all wearing boots or nice shoes and it was kind of hard to walk in the sand. (or maybe that was just me.)

J9 with her pro camera. She got some really good pictures!

Dead bird. Bummer.

Sydney & Lindsay racing the waves.

Aaron was trying to get a good picture of all of us (to mimick the one from 4 years ago) and he did a pretty good job) no one looking at the camera, hair blowing everywhere.

That's about right. We're missing one person though, Lori and her son Cameron.

Jax, Sydney & Lindsay at the zoo

Sydney trying to measure up to a gorilla.

This is a pretty cool monkey (of some sort, I didn't pay attention to the facts). He had a pretty butt, too. Yes, I said that. It was blue, pink, red, orange, red.... it looked like a pretty rainbow.

Sydney thought it was stinky. I think she was referring to J9's butt.

Or the flamingos, they stunk too.

The children's nature trail was cute.

Sydney said "look. we're posing as REAL human people!"

Proving to me she needed a nap at this point. Wasn't being a very good sharerer. Cute picture. But don't be fooled.

Would it make sense at all if I said these sheep were baaa'ing in a southern accent?
They were.

Suspicious kanagroos.

That's a bear.
And I don't want to know what she's eating.

Would be a cool picture of this train if this boy didn't get in the way.
And what the heckity-heck!!? Some kids train!!! It was going like 75 mph!! No joke! Freaking aggressive children's ride if you ask me. The park was closing in 20 minutes, maybe the conductor just wanted to hurry and end the ride or something so he could go home. "there-are-the-bears-quick-the-penguin-island-to-your-right-now-we're-entering-the-lions-area-hands-inside-please-ride-over-have-a-nice-day-BYE"

Either lazy, sleazy, or dead polar bear.

Grizzly brea.
I mean bear.

Bald eagle.

The penguins. They were cute. At this time we were the ONLY ones left in the park and were told a few times they were closed. It was eerily quiet there.
It was like all of the animals there were waiting for the humans to leave so they could start the fiesta.

Sydney making a wish for everyone to come to our house in Buda Texas.

Saying our goodbyes.
:o(

*tear*
She didn't want to let Marli go.
