Kelli is so smiley when she eats. I think it's because she's so proud of herself for doing it all on her own. Gone are the days of jar food and spoon feeding. She has to do it herself now.
I let her practice with a spoon, but she has not mastered that yet, and I'm not a huge fan of cleaning spaghetti sauce off the walls (there is a facebook fan page for that, too, God I have no life) nonetheless, I will dip or scoop and let her feed herself. Otherwise you can forget her eating anything at all. She'll turn her head and look at the ceiling in defiance if you try and spoon feed.
