Right of Passage

Is this something ALL little girls have to do before they turn a certain age or something? I swore Sydney would never do this. I cringed when other moms talked about the time their kid cut half their head of hair off one day playing with scissors. (I have 3 friends who have lovely daughters that met this curious fate). I silently swore in my head "not Sydney. I just don't see her attempting something like that." She understands too much about cause & effect. Cut = hair falls off = no hair. Right? She's smart. She'd get that.

Nope.

Luckily it wasn't that much hair.
