Buda Carnival

After Sydney performed with her dance group, we took the opportunity to have some mommy-daughter time just the two of us and went on some rides at the carnival across the street. She went on the dinosaur one by HERSELF. She was so proud!

Then we went on a BIG PEOPLE ride (off course I accompanied her) and she was so excited!

I was a bit nervous about all the uppy-downs on this ride, considering its a traveling carnival. Meaning = amateurs take this ride apart and put it together every weekend and stuff it in some uhaul with the nuts and bolts until the next town, but... what the hay.

Her favorite game. Mom gives the nice lady $2... she strategically chooses a rubber duckie out of the nasty water trough... then wins a prize. WOO HOO!

She won a blow-up guitar. Said she was starting a band and they were called "The Pink Guitars" and they were "gonna rap to the beat".

it deflated within 4 minutes. RIP Pink Guitars.

We ended up at the Buda Soda Fountain (as promised the day before when she had to get FIVE shots in her leg) and I dared the chance and let her have *gasp* dairy. Haha! She was a happy camper with her chocolate ice cream in 34 degree weather. Then we crossed the tracks to Sue Ellens (the old train depot) and got Memaw some Poinsettas.
