Dad's 3rd Stent

Our Thursday was interrupted with a surprise call. Dad was being sent in for emergency surgery. It was "scope" surgery as they didn't know exactly what was causing the problem in his heart, but with his history, they didn't even let him go home. So we all met at the hospital.

Little "Rainbow Brite" came to cheer Papa up. And coincidentally... the little nugget who was born on Papa's 67th birthday, was right back in the place she was born exactly 6months to the day. To the hour almost!! What a co-winky-dink! A miracle born on Dad's birthday... now celebrating her 1/2 year of life back in the hospital where she was born on the day Papa needs surgery; a total sign of hope, life, miracles and love. I knew then he'd be fine.

Off we go!

We were telling him to behave. We know he has a tendency to flirt and be charming with the nurses when he wants something. She was warned.

Wendy putting on a good face despite being drooled on. She is a major germ-a-phobe... but even drool gets to her. She said "hurry and take the picture, I can FEEL her drool soaking through my jeans Sara!". Seriously... its drool. Makes me want to secretly wipe a booger on her pillow just for fun. heeeeeheeeheeee!

Kelli brightened up the waiting room as well.

They did find some bad areas. 30-50% blocked arteries and he will likely be back for another stent. But with more lifestyle changes, he won't need bypass so Wendy and I will be on him like GLUE. He came out of surgery feeling chipper and himself... asking for pizza.
